Ms. Briana Farias
Having grown up in San Anselmo (SF Bay Area), California. I’ve traveled and lived in many placing including Japan, Thailand and Brazil. Eventually moving to the PNW in the beginning of 2001 I ended up staying in Bothell, WA to raise my children.
For most of my life I have been involved in some form of childcare. A competent 11-year-old babysitter of 3 (ages 3, 5 & 8). At a woman’s gym daycare at 16. As a young adult my responsibilities expanded to providing full time care giving for infants up through elementary children.
I now have 3 children, with a 15.5-year gap between my oldest and youngest. With my first 2 boys I was initially able to “stay at home” fulltime; often becoming the default host of many playdates
I love children. The mystery of their milestones. Especially their unique expressions within their maturation as well as their growth challenges.
I love being a teacher here at MSSC. I care for the safety, wellbeing, and healthy development of young children. Young children are at their best when they feel “at home”. MSSC offers this quality. From this space, with the structure of Montessori, learning is organic.
In addition to enjoying teaching, I enjoy getting my hands in the soil… landscaping and tending to my garden. I love flower arranging, cooking for others, and spending time with my husband and family. I love to travel and other ways to experience/discover layers of culture and the nuances that build who people become.
