Ms. Briana Farias

Having grown up in San Anselmo (SF Bay Area), California. I’ve traveled and lived in many placing including Japan, Thailand and Brazil. Eventually moving to the PNW in the beginning of 2001 I ended up staying in Bothell, WA to raise my children.

For most of my life I have been involved in some form of childcare. A competent 11-year-old babysitter of 3 (ages 3, 5 & 8). At a woman’s gym daycare at 16. As a young adult my responsibilities expanded to providing full time care giving for infants up through elementary children.

I now have 3 children, with a 15.5-year gap between my oldest and youngest. With my first 2 boys I was initially able to “stay at home” fulltime; often becoming the default host of many playdates
I love children. The mystery of their milestones. Especially their unique expressions within their maturation as well as their growth challenges.

I love being a teacher here at MSSC. I care for the safety, wellbeing, and healthy development of young children. Young children are at their best when they feel “at home”. MSSC offers this quality. From this space, with the structure of Montessori, learning is organic.

In addition to enjoying teaching, I enjoy getting my hands in the soil… landscaping and tending to my garden. I love flower arranging, cooking for others, and spending time with my husband and family. I love to travel and other ways to experience/discover layers of culture and the nuances that build who people become.

Ms. Mayolyn Anthony

My name is Mayolyn Anthony. I was born Mayolyn Marquez in the Philippines in 1978. I grew up with 4 brothers and 1 sister. We lost our dad when I was only 8 years old. I love all colors, but yellow is my favorite! I graduated from High School in 1996 followed by a year of advanced education in Physical Therapy at a Regional Vocational School. From there, I chose to take employment in the field of Early Education in Singapore as a Long-term Private Nanny. After four years in Singapore, I moved to a new Company in Hong Kong where I continued for 10 more years in this occupation.

I moved to the United States in 2015 and after a short time I found employment as a Cashier at Evergreen Asian Market. Working there exposed me to a slice of American culture and gave me an opportunity to use English every day. I spent two years there before working as a Lead Assembly Technician in the Medical Device Industry for the next two years at Renu Medical.

Beginning in early 2021 I started working at Montessori Schools of Snohomish County and I look forward to seeing all our students every morning.

I love to take care of my plants each day. I enjoy going to the movies and eating popcorn, attending concerts and sporting events too. I enjoy many foods; seafood is my favorite! I have been back home to the Philippines once since I moved to America, and I hope to take my Husband there sometime in the future!

Ms. DeMadrid

During my teaching journey, I have worked at four learning centers. I found my second home when I discovered MSSC. The Montessori teaching method fell right in with my belief that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. I strive to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential. I have been Montessori trained to educate children aged 0-12, and have taught a variety of MSSC’s programs in my 20 years of working here including Infant & Toddler (birth – age 3), Pre-Elementary (ages 2 1/2 – 6), Elementary I (6-9), and Elementary II (9-12). For the past 8 years, I have been the Head Teacher and Supervisor of the school’s Infant, Toddler, and Beginner programs. It is through working with all ages that I have discovered that I enjoy creating a strong foundation with the youngest of minds the most. The transformation in the first three years of life is phenomenal, and I am so glad I get to be a part of these children’s lives.
