Our Programs
The Montessori Method of Education addresses the educational needs of each child. The materials are designed to allow the children to progress at their own learning rates. The classroom materials are sequenced in the reading, penmanship, grammar, creative writing, spelling, other language art skills, and the mathematic areas. To complete the classroom curriculum, the areas of zoology, botany, classification, geography, history, anatomy/physiology, sciences, art, music as well as many more miscellaneous units are discussed on a group basis. These subjects are on a yearly rotation allowing the children to gain a strong foundation in all subject areas. Independence is achieved as the students master the skill of organizing their time to complete their learning activities. The community we have developed at the school provides the children with a safe and non-judgmental environment. It is a place where their individual abilities are accepted, their self-esteem can be built, and they can learn and grow to their fullest potential.
“Education is a natural process carried out by the child and is not acquired by listening to words but by experiences in the environment”– Maria Montessori
